Onslow County Schools, January 25, 2017 — Onslow County Schools will soon launch a new electronic flyer communication tool called “Peachjar.” Subscribers will be able to view school-approved eflyers by simply clicking on the Peachjar button on your school’s website homepage.
Not only will student backpacks will be lighter but also this “green” initiative will save our schools tons of paper and reduce copy costs by thousands of dollars. In addition to saving time and money, it will ensure information makes it home to parents; no more worrying what was lost between school and home. For the remainder of this school year, as we ease into full use of Peachjar, we will utilize both paper and Peachjar eflyers.
The email address to which Peachjar will send the flyer notification is the “Guardian Email Address” that was indicated on the student’s registration form. If a parent wishes to change the email address, should contact their school’s data manager who will make the changes directly in PowerSchool.
We are scheduled to launch February 13. Parents will receive a welcome email that includes a username and password. This is provided to give parents the opportunity to manage their account and flyer delivery preferences. It is not necessary to login to receive or view school-approved eflyers.
This system is used exclusively for distribution of district-approved flyers. Your email address will not be shared or used for any other purposes. Thank you for your support.
