I graduated from The University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!!) in May 2007,

with my Bachelor's of Art in Early Childhood Education.

This will be my 4th year teaching Pre-K here at HCES. Before coming to HCE, I taught for NCPre-K Program for 2 years and also taught middle school 1 year before that.

I hold my NC Elementary Teaching License (K-6) with my BK add-on (birth-K).

Hello Gators!!! My name is Amanda "Joy" Esemann and I am excited to be a Pre-K teacher here at Hunter's Creek Elementary! I was raised in a small town right outside of Hilton Head, SC, where my family still lives in the house I grew up in.

After graduating from college in May 2007, I married the love of my life Michael in June, and the Navy moved us here to Camp Lejeune in July 2007. After teaching for a couple years, we were blessed with a little red-headed girl who we named Ella. She will be in 1st grade this year and is so excited "to be at big school with Momma". Last September our family welcomed a handsome red headed boy named Evan to our family as well!

My family loves living in Jacksonville! We have met some of the best friends here and enjoy being by the beach and ocean. Most sunny weekends, you will find us on our boat or finding something fun to get into.

As a young child, I always knew teaching is what I wanted to do. Children are my passion and I love being able to watch them learn, grow and become independent thinkers.
